JOZI TODAY WITH NATASHIA BEARAM-EDMUNDS

Natashia Bearam-Edmunds

Jozi Today Sunday 12–3 pm

Natashia Bearam-Edmunds or Natashia B, as she is known to Radio Today listeners, is the fiery, quick-witted host and producer of the lifestyle, community news and music show called Jozi Today. “I love radio, it is a powerful medium to connect with a diverse group of people, listen to their stories and motivate and empower by sharing ideas. The station gives me the platform to just be myself and our listeners appreciate that authenticity.” Not only does she have an established reputation of excellence in both print and broadcast media but is also a well-known face among learners in South Africa as an educational TV presenter and maths specialist at a hugely popular youth learning channel, which has over 1,5million viewers.

Natashia was born in Pietermaritzburg, KZN and has lived in Johannesburg for 21 years. When she’s not in a studio she loves spending time with family and friends, socialising, shopping, reading and listening to great music. She has always excelled academically and graduated with distinction from Wits University in 2007, with double majors in Mathematics and Business Finance. She admits to being a bit neurotic at times and has much pet hates including, people smoking in public spaces, chewing with your mouth open, slurping and people driving slow in the fast lane. We asked her what she would be doing if money was no option and she said: “ I am already doing it, radio, media and education”. She believes in living your passions otherwise they’re just dreams.
